Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Zein Obagi is recognized around the world as a leader and pioneer in skin health. Dr. Obagi has dedicated his career to treating both common skin concerns and the most challenging skin conditions that can give his patients not only confidence, but a better quality of life. After over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Obagi founded the ZO Skin Centre® with innovative treatments and the ZO® Skin Health line of products that use innovative technology and ingredients to effectively improve the health and appearance of the skin. His unique ZO® Skin Health Circle™ that is designed to work with every skin tone and type so his patients can achieve healthy, radiant skin with therapeutic treatments, maintenance, and prevention.

Dr. Obagi continues to look for new technologies, better techniques, and advanced ingredients so he can provide the best skin care to his patients. From cosmetic concerns, like signs of aging, to medical conditions, like acne, rosacea, and dyschromia, Dr. Obagi wants all of his patients of all ages and ethnicities to enjoy beautiful, healthy skin that gives them confidence. Dr. Obagi is the author of The Art of Skin Health Restoration and Rejuvenation: The Science of Clinical Practice, a medical textbook on skin health. He currently holds five U.S. patents for skin repairing devices and techniques. Dr. Obagi's line of products include ZO® Skin Health for daily skin care and ZO® Medical prescription skin care.

Education and Training

Dr. Obagi earned his Medical Degree from Damascus Medical School, then completed his Internship at Deaconess Hospital in Detroit. He then performed his residency in pathology at the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Obagi was a United States Navy Medical Officer who served in Honolulu, HI and completed his dermatology residency at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA, and as a staff dermatologist in Long Beach, CA

"Today I started my journey with Dr. Obagi's products. As I suffer from acne till this day, I am hesitant to see results and my money's worth for what I paid. I did feel a bit on edge today because I felt like I did not receive enough attention during my consultation. It felt rushed and I felt put aside and I am not too happy about that. I would not recommend anyone to seek this facility for help regarding acne. I started off with moderate almost nothing on my face (just pigmentation and scars) after using the products (long list of them almost about 10 products) my face began to break out and turn red almost purple. They follow the philosophy of worse before better; which does not coincide with my way of thinking. I stopped using the products after two months and now my face is full of scars and the redness remains.I would not recommend this place at all. Save your money, your time and your skin. Reply to Obagi:Thanks !!! Now I have severely damaged skin and it will never look the same thanks to your products. They all damaged and burned  my skin. Save your money !!!"

"Well...here I am wondering just how these products have managed to age me backwards. I first met Dr. Obagi 10 years ago, and I can’t say enough lovely things about him and his daughter Serene, who sees me now. She is very educated on skin and her programs for my pigmentation have been amazing, along with a peel and laser that basically gave me a facelift. Very kind staff, beautiful location, and the best skin line of products that exists out there."
