Sculptra^® is injected using a fine needle, which causes most patients feel tolerable discomfort during the initial prick, but a numbing cream can be applied to the skin if you would prefer. You may see some changes right after your injection, but it typically takes a few days for your full outcome to develop. For ideal results, you should schedule several Sculptra^® injection treatments over the course of 3 – 4 months. This allows your results to last for up to 2 years. You may see some temporary swelling, redness, and bruising or feel mild pain or tenderness, but this should not last more than a few days after the injection.
